The former governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, proposed the “responsibility” of immigrants when they come to America during an interview on Tuesday in “The View”, encouraging them to do things legally and to behave as guests in the United States.
“I just think that the world of the great history we have with immigrants in America, but the most important thing is that, at the same time, that we have to do legal things,” he said. “This is the most important thing. You have to do the legal things, and those who do illegal things in America, and they are foreigners, are not smart, because when you come to America, you are a guest and you have to behave so that this does not really work in this country,” said Schwarzenegger.
Schwarzenegger was pressured by the hosts of the ICE presence in Los Angeles and whether the National Guard would have been deployed if he were governor.
“You have a responsibility as an immigrant to return to America and pay for America and go to do something for your community without money. Return something to extra -curricular programs, special Olympic Games or whatever it is, make it a better place,” said former California governor.
The hosts returned to Schwarzenegger, as Whoopi Goldberg insisted that “90% of people coming here try to do things well.”
“Immigrants are less likely to commit crimes in this country than American-born citizens,” the Co-AMFIFTRION Sunny Hostin told Schwarzenegger.
Schwarzenegger also requested immigration reform during discussion, saying that both Democrats and Republicans had to work together to pass.
“All this is happening because we have no reform of immigration,” he said. “Democrats and Republicans must meet and solve this problem if they really want to be public servants. If they want to be party servants and be party pirates and be linked to their ideology, it will not happen.”
Schwarzenegger spoke of the Riots de la and said that the media was a “war zone”.
He told Jimmy Kimmel last night last week that he agreed with his recent prey of the current state of the, in which Kimmel mocked the media to portray anti-angel protests as “some kind of totalitarian landscape” and condemned Trump’s administration for the deportation of “people who have lived here all their lives.”
“I totally agree with you, by the way, Jimmy, because they do it as if it were a war zone, the whole city of Los Angeles, the whole city or the county,” he argued. “The fact is that it is perhaps like 0.001% of the Los Angeles area and there is protest.”
“Democrats and Republicans, both parties, have no interest in solving this problem [comprehensive immigration reform] As they use this to raise money, “Schwarzenegger said in Kimmel.” So what they do is that they continue to point to each other, and then they are surprised if we are suddenly using their middle finger on them. “”
